Wow, that was an awful one.

So here's how stupid I am. I'm making lunch (reheated basil pasta mmm) and I put some bread in the oven to reheat at 375. I take it out with a towel almost grazing my hand on the rack. I chastise myself as I have very nice oven mitts.

I slide the bread onto the pasta plate and put the metal tin down. I pick up my pasta to head back into the office, and then...

I USE MY BARE HAND TO PICK UP THE METAL PLATE TO PUT IN THE SINK.

Lucky for me, it was a pie tin and so was not 375 degrees, instead it had cooled and was only hot. Hot enough for my nerves to react where my brain was sleeping and launch it into the sink for me.

I'm not at all burned. I'm just stupid.
